Directions

Directions to the Sacred Fire Council House and Hearth :  
# 90 Rocky Hollow, Weaverville, NC 28787

  • I-40 to I-240 to 19-23 (aka I-26) North towards Weaverville
  • Exit # 15: Jupiter-Barnardsville
  • Left off exit ramp onto Jupiter Rd.
  • First right onto old 19-23 (possibly no road sign)
  • Go ½ mile, veer to left onto Locust Grove Rd (blue sign for Baptist church)
  • Go 1 ½ miles, turn right onto Rocky Hollow (gravel road)
  • Go ½ mile: park at either # 66 or # 90. See below for Parking instructions.

Please slow down when driving along this one lane dirt road (Rocky Hollow) – not only is it safe and respectful but it gives you the chance to move into the rhythm of the land and its ancestors.

PARKING

# 66 – Park here if you have special needs: The home of Patrick and Lisa, Firekeepers. This is the 4th drive on the left  #66, marked with the red mosaic sign. Continue on up
to the parking lot, park at 45 degree angle or parallel park at the end.   There is room for about 8 cars parked at 45 degree at our place.   Please do not drive across the lawn in
front of the barn.

# 90 – Everyone else, please park here for community fires, specialty fires & events. Continue to the next drive on the left past # 66 which is # 90. Park in the upper gravel lot by the large woodshed at # 90 and walk east (up the hill) to the Sacred Fire Council House. The Aframe house at # 90 is now a vacation rental and retreat center called “TrailTime”.  Please do not park close to that house, as guests want their privacy. If you need handicap access, park at our house,  #66, near the barn.

The Sacred Fire Council House and Hearth is east of the gravel parking area at # 90 and up the little knoll.  To come to the home of Lisa and Patrick for community potlucks or for other invitations, walk past the council house, past the barn on the right. Feel free to leave your chairs or blankets at the council house for Fire time later.
